Manufacturing Solutions Architect

The Role

Heliqon is building the intelligence layer for manufacturing. We're looking for a Manufacturing Solutions Architect who can bridge our AI platform and the real-world challenges manufacturers face every day. You'll work directly with customers and prospects to understand their operations, then collaborate with our product and engineering teams to shape how Heliqon solves those problems. This isn't a pure software role—it's for someone who's lived manufacturing. You've walked plant floors, optimized processes, and dealt with the messy reality of production environments.

Customer-Facing Work

Partner with customers and prospects to map their operations, pain points, and integration opportunities. Run discovery sessions and plant assessments to identify where Heliqon delivers the most value. Design solution architectures connecting Heliqon to existing systems (ERP, MES, SCADA, PLCs, historians). Lead proof-of-concept deployments and pilot programs from scoping through go-live. Translate complex manufacturing workflows into platform configuration and integration requirements. Build trusted technical relationships with plant managers, process engineers, and IT leaders.

Internal & Product Work

Bring real manufacturing context to product decisions—what matters on the floor vs. what looks good on a slide. Work with engineering to define integration patterns, data models, API requirements, and UI/UX designs based on customer needs. Shape the product roadmap by identifying common patterns across engagements. Create reference architectures, implementation playbooks, and technical documentation. Help build the solutions engineering function as the team grows.

Required Experience

5–8 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing environments: process engineering, industrial engineering, supply chain, or similar. Direct experience with ERP (SAP, Oracle), MES, SCADA, PLCs, or industrial data historians. Strong understanding of production planning, quality management, supply chain, or logistics. Ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders—you can talk to a plant manager and a software engineer in the same afternoon. Experience with system integration or digital transformation projects in manufacturing. Comfort with data: you can read a data flow diagram and have opinions about data quality. Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Nice-to-Have Experience

Experience with AI/ML. Familiarity with industrial protocols: OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, or similar. Background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement. Experience in a customer-facing technical role: solutions engineering, technical consulting, or pre-sales. Exposure to SaaS platforms or enterprise software implementation. Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or other data tools.

Why Heliqon

Ground-floor opportunity to shape a product and a team—your manufacturing expertise directly influences what we build. Work on real problems: manufacturers are underserved by enterprise software, and we're changing that. Small, technical team where your voice matters and bureaucracy is minimal. Competitive compensation with meaningful equity. Flexible, remote-first with travel to customer sites.
